La revision de los metodos de estimacion existentes permite analizar su adecuacion para resolver el problema que se plantea y concluir la aptitud de las tecnicas geoestadisticas para ello. Estas tecnicas no resultan, sin embargo, adecuadas para la representacion grafica.  la formulacion dual es otra presentacion, cuya aplicacion a la representacion grafica no ha sido estudiada hasta el momento. La formulacion analitica de la misma y la importante economia de calculos que permite, posibilita el establecimiento de una metodolog\u00eda de trabajo para la consecucion del procedimiento dual por areas.  los principales problemas que se abordan son: la definicion de areas y entornos para aplicar la formulacion dual, asi como el modo de conseguir una descripcion global de la variable mediante la union de las obtenidas en cada area en que se ha subdividido el dominio.  la adecuacion del metodo propuesto al problema que se plantea se comprueba mediante su aplicacion a diversos casos practicos resueltos con una aplicacion informatica desarrollada al efecto.  finalmente se sintetizan las conclusiones obtenidas a traves del proceso desarrollado y se enuncian algunos de los problemas
