Se muestra como el proyecto fco. De j. G.  caffarena hunde sus raices en la tradicion metafisica cristiana (y en la decision de fe que le subyace, y de la que pretende -hasta el maximo posible- dar cuenta racional) y busca la reconciliacion de lo mas valioso de esa tradicion con las filosofias criticas de la modernidad ilustrada ( y muy particularmente con el criticismo kantiano) en cuanto ellas suponen el emerger de un sujeto moral autonomo vinculado incondicionadamente al \u00absupremo bien\u00bb que es la humanidad misma (en cada uno y en todos) y lanzado hacia la efectuacion historica de su emancipacion, quedan planteadas, entre otras, las preguntas sobre si el aludido \u00absupremo bien\u00bb no debe en realidad ser concebido como \u00abderivativo\u00bb con respecto a un mas fundamental \u00absupremo bien originario\u00bb, concebible como un absoluto de amor; y sobre si la realizacion hca.  de las utopias morales no nos deja abiertos finalmente de modo ineludible a la pregunta sobre un sentido
