Herminia <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los niveles elevados de lipoproteina (a) o lo (a) plasmatica se han asociado con alta incidencia de ecv.  fundamentalmente en menores de 60 a\u00f1os. Los niveles de lp (a) estan determinados geneticamente y parece que se mantienen mas o menos constantes a lo largo de la vida.  hemos analizado en poblacion infantojuvenil navarra (n=2457), la distribucion de la lp (a), su preValencia como factor de riesgo cardiovascular y su posible relacion con otros factores familiares y personales de riesgo cardiovascular. La lp (a) sigue una distribucion no normal, con un fuerte sesgo hacia valores bajos, con una media de 21,12 y una mediana de 13 mg\/dl. Hemos encontrado diferencias significativas en funcion del sexo, teniendo las ni\u00f1as los niveles mas elevados, sin embargo, no las encontramos en funcion de la edad. En la poblacion estudiada el 18,6% tiene una lp(a) de riesgo (mayor de 36.3 mg\/dl) no hemos encontrado asociacion entre la lp(a) de los ni\u00f1os y la presencia de antecedentes familiares y personales de riesgo cardiovascular. La acumulacion de factores familiares de riesgo no influye en los niveles de lp (a) de los ni\u00f1os.  hemos obtenido correlacion entre los niveles de lp (a) y varios parametros lipidicos como son el colesterol total, ldl, trigliceridos y apo b, sin embargo, desaparece esta correlacion cuando se corrige el porcentaje de colesterol contenido en la particula de lp (a). No hemos encontrado interaccion entre la lp(a) y otros parametros lipidicos como la ldl o ldl corregida.
