Esta situacion suscita la pregunta de cual es el texto en el que ese oraculo es funcional y cuales son las condiciones en las que is 7,10-17 pide ser leido (interpretado). Para responder a esta pregunta se desarrollan en la primera parte del trabajo dos estudios, el primero sobre los principios de la comunicacion con textos literarios (cap.  2), y el segundo sobre la descripcion del texto como objeto (cap. 3). Con esos instrumentos teoricos se lleva a cabo en la segunda parte una evaluacion de los resultados de la critica (cap. 4) y un analisis textual del oraculo (caps. 5 y 6). De ese analisis se concluye que el texto en el que esta profecia pide ser leida es la biblia en su conjunto (como macrotexto) y el libro de isaias en un segundo nivel textual autonomo. Dentro de ese esquema textual, is 1-12 constituye un nivel estructural que reune caracteristicas analogas a un texto (delimitacion y coherencia) que son descritas en el trabajo. Los elementos tematicos mas resaltables son el paso de \u00abno conocer\u00bb a \u00abconocer\u00bb, el concepto de \u00abresto\u00bb -como sintesis entre la condena y la salvacion- y el nacimiento de un ni\u00f1o vinculado al momento final de la salvacion.
