El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar dos formas diferentes de manifestarse la libertad en sus escritos: una libertad como independencia y una libertad como transparencia y enso\u00f1acion. La primera se muestra en la continuidad entre el emile y el contrat social partiendo de los dos primeros discours, y consiste en no depender de las propias pasiones, ni de las fuerzas, opiniones e intereses ajenos. Esta forma de libertad se desarrolla gracias a la perfectibilidad -al pasar de una libertad natural a una libertad moral- obedeciendo a la naturaleza como expresion de orden, y culmina en la virtud. La segunda forma de libertad se manifiesta en sus escritos autobiograficos y se debe a la sustitucion de la importancia de la virtud por una bondad bienintencionada que le lleva a obtener su unidad -exigencia de libertad- ante los demas mediante una transparencia absoluta de sus acciones e intenciones.  ademas, es mediante lo que el llama enso\u00f1acion como alcanza, en el repliegue sobre si
