C. Baur en 1826), se discute la exegenesis medieval (siglos viii al xiii) de cinco pericopas (gal. 3,28; i cor. 11,3-9; i cor. 14,34-35; y los dos relatos de la creacion del hombre en el gen.) acerca de la condicion femenina.  se concluye que tal exegesis, desde beda el venerable hasta finales del xii, ha sido feminista, interpretando alegoricamente tales pasajes biblicos, segun el \u00abbinario psicologico\u00bb de filon de alejandria: \u00abvir\u00bb seria la ratio superior, y \u00abmulier\u00bb, la ratio inferior. Desde la tercera entrada de aristoteles en paris (entre 1220 y 1230), se va a abandonar la exegesis alegorica de tales pasajes, lo cual se advierte en alberto magno y tomas de aquino. La igualdad estricta entre el hombre y la mujer se mantendra solamente en el orden sobrenatural. En el orden natural, la mujer sera \u00abmas occasionatus\u00bb, un varon frustrado.
