Se ha desarrollado una via sintetica para la preparacion de acidos  (e)-2-metil-2-alquenoicos, estereoisomericamente puros, por medio de una secuencia en tres etapas, con buenos rendimientos globales. Asimismo, se ha puesto a punto un procedimiento para acceder a sintones del tipo alfa-alquil-beta-hidroxiesteres o derivados, de una forma estereocontrolada, con total pureza diastereomerica y muy elevado exceso enantiomerico, siendo una de las etapas clave la hidrogenacion asimetrica utilizando (r)- o (s)-binap-ru como catalizador quiral, lo cual permite obtener cualquiera de los cuatro esteroisomeros de una forma predecible y con buenos rendimientos a partir de compuestos asequibles: beta-cetoesteres.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
