El estudio se basa en datos procedentes de una serie temporal a largo plazo de campa\u00f1as de prospeccion pesquera que ha permitido la descripcion de la estructura espacial de las comunidades. Mediante diferentes tecnicas de analisis uni y multivariante se analiza la relacion de la distribucion con la profundidad y diferentes factores sedimentarios y oceanograficos (estructura hidrografica y afloramiento) que varian a lo largo de la costa de galicia.  por otra parte, se estudian los cambios interanuales en la estructura de las comunidades, relacionandolos con el esfuerzo pesquero existente y con los cambios temporales de diferentes factores fisicos, en particular la intensidad de afloramiento. En segundo lugar, la memoria realiza un estudio sobre diferentes aspectos de la estrategia biologica de la cigala nephrops norvegicus, una de las especies de decapodos dominantes y de alta importancia pesquera. Se analizan su abundancia y distribucion empleando metodos geoestadisticos de cartografia y evaluacion directa, el crecimiento relativo y morfometria, reproduccion (talla de madurez sexual, ciclo de maduracion gonadal y ciclo de cria, fecundidad), crecimiento en la muda y estacionalidad, y la estructura de la poblacion y sus cambios estacionales e interanuales. Por ultimo, se analiza la dinamica de la poblacion explotada a largo plazo, prestando especial atencion a los factores de regulacion de la poblacion, tanto a nivel local como
