Estas tecnicas se utilizan principalmente en comunicaciones via satelite, y mas concretamente en aplicaciones para difusion directa (dbs), en las cuales se pretende emitir directamente desde el satelite a los usuarios finales.  con estas antenas conformadas se consiguen haces contorneados, los cuales se adaptan al perfil de la zona a la que se desea transmitir desde el satelite, y ello con una notable simplificacion en el sistema de alimentacion del reflector.  las aportaciones, tanto en la reduccion de tiempo de computo de cada diagrama de radiacion que se calcula en cada iteracion, como en el modelado geometrico de las deformaciones del reflector, y en la obtencion de las variables que caracterizan estas mediante optimizacion, han sido publicadas nacional e
