Mediante un analisis sistematizado de toda su produccion artistica, se investiga su trayectoria creativa y sobre todo, las relaciones y aportaciones de su obra con respecto al arte de nuestro tiempo. Se contextualiza la obra de leopoldo novoa tratando de establecer las interrelaciones necesarias entre el desarrollo politico, social, cultural y estetico de cada momento; para ello la obra se analizo desde los puntos siguientes: a) formal o estilistico, b) contenido o tema, c) planteamientos, concreciones y aportaciones de su obra. Ademas de las referencias fundamentales a los contactos personales con el artista, tambien se realizo una clasificacion cronologica de las criticas, entrevistas, reportajes, escritos, monografias
