Se ha considerado necesario efectuar un estudio de impacto medio ambiental por mercurio. Los indicadores de contaminacion utilizados han sido vegetales, pescados, dietas, cabellos y tejidos humanos procedentes de autopsias. Se han detectado focos de emision de mercurio en zonas industriales, localizados cerca de dos plantas de produccion de cloro. La industria quimica no relacionada con la produccion del cloro, una incineradora de residuos urbanos asi como las concentraciones humanas no son fuentes importantes de mercurio. Las especies marinas son las receptoras de las omisiones antropogenicas y tambien son la mayor fuente de mercurio para la poblacion. Los niveles de mercurio encontrados en dietas, cabellos y tejidos indican que el nivel de exposicion en la poblacion de la provincia es bajo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
