Para alcanzar este objetivo se ha empezado el trabajo con el caso mas conocido del flujo alrededor de un cilindro del cual se han extraido conclusiones relativas a las condiciones de contorno y a las redes a emplear en el posterior estudio numerico del flujo alrededor del prisma. Finalmente, se han llevado a cabo experimentos en un tunel de agua a partir de los cuales se han contrastado algunas de las predicciones numericas. En las simulaciones se han utilizado dos codigos diferentes: para el caso del cilindro se ha utilizado un codigo 2d en variables de helmholtz y coordenadas generalizadas mientras que, para el caso del prisma, se ha utilizado un codigo 2d en variables primitivas (u-v-p) y coordenadas cartesianas.  en ambos codigos se resuelven las ecuaciones de transporte de cantidad de movimiento y de la energia, las cuales han sido discretizadas mediante diferencias finitas. En la parte experimental se ha utilizado la tecnica de velocimetria por imagenes de particulas piv (\u00abparticle image velocimetry\u00bb).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
