El objetivo de la tesis ha consistido en resituar la figura de pedrell con rigor, y al mismo tiempo desbrozar el verdadero valor, tanto de su obra teorica, como de su obra compositiva. El resultado se ha puesto en relacion con el ambidente musical de su tiempo y tambien, se ha contrastado con las influencias que existieron sobre sus discipulos, como falla, granados, granados,
