Para reactores cont\u00ednuos, existen criterios intr\u00ednsecos que, bas\u00e1ndose en la sensibilidad param\u00e9trica del proceso, permiten la prevenci\u00f3n de la excursi\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica. Sin embargo, los criterios encontrados en la bibliograf\u00eda para reactores discont\u00ednuos est\u00e1n definidos en relaci\u00f3n a esquemas cin\u00e9ticos concretos, y su aplicaci\u00f3n a otros sistemas de reacci\u00f3n no es evidente. En un primer paso, se aplica el criterio generalizado de sensibilidad param\u00e9trica a procesos en batch. Los resultados te\u00f3ricos obtenidos se verifican experimentalmente, estudiando la reacci\u00f3n de esterificaci\u00f3n de 2-butanol con anh\u00eddrido propi\u00f3nico, y adem\u00e1s se comparan con los obtenidos mediante un criterio convencional. Se demuestra la utilidad del criterio intr\u00ednseco en la prevenci\u00f3n de la excursi\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica del mismo proceso, pero catalizado por \u00e1cido sulf\u00farico, situaci\u00f3n en la que no se pueden aplicar los m\u00e9todos convencionales. En un segundo paso, se aplica el an\u00e1lisis de sensibilidad param\u00e9trica a procesos en semi-batch, mostr\u00e1ndose que el criterio permite diferenciar entre regiones param\u00e9tricas de ignici\u00f3n y no ignici\u00f3n. Sin embargo, las regiones \u00f3ptimas de operaci\u00f3n, denominadas qfs, no pueden ser diferenciadas de las de excursi\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica. En esta tesis doctoral se propone un nuevo criterio generalizado e intr\u00ednseco, basado en el tiempo de ignici\u00f3n del proceso, que permite discernir las regiones qfs. Utilizando dicho criterio y el an\u00e1lisis de sensibilidad param\u00e9trica se caracteriza el comportamiento t\u00e9rmico de la reacci\u00f3n de estericaci\u00f3n catalizada con \u00e1cido sulf\u00farico.
