Gloria Vilaclara Fatjo <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se determin\u00f3 la naturaleza de los sucesos registrados en el paleolago tlaxcala, m\u00e9xico. Se observan 3 tipos de laminaciones 1) blancas, diatomita pura, de naturaleza amorfa, concentraci\u00f3n de si elevada, sin al, ni ti, ni mn. 2) 0 cres, diatomita amorfa mezclada con peque\u00f1as cantidades de arcillas, menor cantidad de si y al presente. 3) obscuras, pr\u00e1cticamente sin diatomeas, de naturaleza cristalina, comparativamente bajas en si y altas en al, ti y fe. Las 2 primeras son de origen aut\u00f3ctono y la \u00faltima es al\u00f3ctona. De los an\u00e1lisis geoqu\u00edmicos y biol\u00f3gicos se deduce que el lago fue de agua dulce, alcalino, mesotr\u00f3fico con tendencia a la eutrofia y oligosaprobio. El lago probablemente perteneci\u00f3 al pleistoceno medio y dur\u00f3 aproximadamente de 30.000 a 50.000 a\u00f1os. Termin\u00f3 abruptamente por movimientos tect\u00f3nicos de la zona.
