La adici\u00f3n de ag2co3 facilita la transmetalaci\u00f3n pd(ii)\/si, probablemente debido a la formaci\u00f3n de enlaces pd-o. Se ha conseguido tambi\u00e9n la formaci\u00f3n de paladaciclos mediante reacciones de activaci\u00f3n c-h arom\u00e1tica promovidas por ag2co3 y se han realizado estudios de deuteraci\u00f3n que ponen de manifiesto que la etapa de ruptura del enlace c-h no es determinante de la velocidad.  finalmente, se han sintetizado platinaciclos mediante reacciones de transmetalaci\u00f3n pt\/sn y pt\/si. En este caso, se ha encontrado que la adici\u00f3n oxidante es la etapa determinante de la velocidad del proceso.
