Los problemas que presentan estas escalas, como p. Ej. La familia dependencia en las escalas de basicidad han llevado a los investigadores a concluir que habr\u00e1 tantas escalas como sondas se utilicen.  en esta tesis, sin embargo, se muestra que esta situaci\u00f3n se debe a que las escalas existentes no presentan una gran pureza en el efecto estudiado debido a defectos en las sondas utilizadas y que para obtener escalas generales de polaridad, basicidad y acidez es necesario utilizar un homomorfo de la sonda que permita restar todas las contribuciones ajenas al efecto que se quiere medir. Mediante el modelo sonda-homomorfo se han desarrollado tres escalas espectrosc\u00f3picas: la escala spp de polaridad a partir del par 2-(n,n-dimetilamino)-7-nitrofluoreno (dmanf)\/2-fluoro-7-nitrofluoreno(fnf), la escala sb de basicidad mediante el par 5-nitroindolina (ni)\/1-metil-5-nitroindolina (mni) y la escala sa de acidez a partir del par o-terc-butilestilbeno
