En efecto, el estagirita trata de la amistad en los libros 8 y 9 de la etica a nic\u00f3maco y 7 de la etica eudemia. No obstante, arist\u00f3teles concede a la amistad un valor pol\u00edtico de singular importancia. De este modo se comprende que la virtud de la amistad tenga un significado m\u00e1s amplio que el que se le proporciona en la actualidad. La amistad para arist\u00f3teles es una virtud que nace en el \u00e1mbito privado, pero que posibilita la relaci\u00f3n arm\u00f3nica de los gobernantes y gobernados.  arist\u00f3teles entiende las relaciones familiares como relaciones de amistad. Pero estas relaciones en la comunidad familiar son un reflejo de lo que acontece en la comunidad pol\u00edtica. Es decir, que son \u00f3rdenes diferentes pero que se ordenan uno al otro en la medida en que ambos buscan una misma finalidad. La posibilidad de entender la amistad como comunicaci\u00f3n personal y como consenso pol\u00edtico estriba en la identidad de fines y de acciones capaces de llevarlos a
