Ontog\u00e9nicamente, su expresi\u00f3n comienza a partir del d\u00eda e17 del desarrollo embrionario y aumenta hasta el nacimiento.  .-Su expresi\u00f3n es sexo dependiente, mayor en el macho que en la hembra, en la que no existen variaciones importantes dentro del ciclo estrual. En el macho, esta expresi\u00f3n desaparece en el per\u00edodo senil siempre que no se desarrollen adenom espont\u00e1neos. Esta dependencia se relaciona con los esteroides gonadales el estradiol la inhibe y la testosterona la aumenta.  .-Esta expresi\u00f3n est\u00e1 sometida a influencias hipotal\u00e1micas. Entre ellas la gnrh participa como un mecanismo inhibidor a dosis altas y continuas, ejerciendo en un primer momento un efecto estimulador que no dura m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de 1 hora.  .-La aromatasa se expresa en el 80% de los adenomas espont\u00e1neos de hip\u00f3fisis y aparece en el 100% de los prolactinomas puros de hip\u00f3fisis y en el 0% de los luteomas. No parece guardar ninguna relaci\u00f3n causal con la naturaleza proliferativa del tumor ni con las alteraciones en la apoptosis celular del tumor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de
