Ambas tienen una localizaci\u00f3n nucleolar, y est\u00e1n implicadas tanto en fen\u00f3menos de proliferaci\u00f3n, como de expresi\u00f3n de genes ribos\u00f3micos. Estas prote\u00ednas localizan estrechamente con la fibrilarina (marcador del procesamiento temprano de los pre-rrnas), y con el factor de transcripci\u00f3n ribos\u00f3mico ubf. Tambi\u00e9n se ha determinado con mayor precisi\u00f3n la distribuci\u00f3n en el nucleolo de las primeras fases de la expresi\u00f3n del rdna, viendo c\u00f3mo la transcripci\u00f3n ocurre focalizada en la periferia de los centros fibrilares, dentro del componente fibrilar denso, que en la zona proximal de dicho componente, el procesamiento temprano y la transcrici\u00f3n colocalizan,
