Las modificaciones observadas en el metabolismo lip\u00eddico (colesterolemia, trigliceridemia, colesterol en h\u00edgado, actividad lcat y lpl) estuvieron asociadas a cambios en la actividad de enzimas implicados en el metabolismo gluc\u00eddico (gk y gluc-6-pasa) y en los niveles de gluc\u00f3geno hep\u00e1tico. Los tratamientos diet\u00e9ticos llevados a cabo durante 16 d\u00edas con dietas elaboradas con diferente fuente proteica (leguminosa cicer aretinum l.\/Case\u00edna), tendieron a normalizar la situaci\u00f3n de hipercolesterolemia modificando la actividad de enzimas del metabolismo lip\u00eddico (lcat, hmgcoa reductasa y lpl) y gluc\u00eddico (gk y gluc-6-pasa). El resultado global indica un mejor control de la hipercolesterolemia tras la ingesta de la dieta elaborada con la leguminosa, ya que result\u00f3 m\u00e1s efectiva en reducir los niveles de colesterol total y ldl. La composici\u00f3n del garbanzo (fibra, saponinas, amino\u00e1cidos, grasa, etc.) Podr\u00eda justificar las mejoras observadas. Por otra parte, la administraci\u00f3n durante 16 d\u00edas del agonista adren\u00e9rgico beta-3 trecadrine (0,5 mg\/kg) a un grupo de ratas con hipercolesterolemia result\u00f3 efectivo frente a la
