Los complejos tetranucleares de rodio e iridio pueden oxidarse a los correspondientes monocationes paramagn\u00e9ticos. Una oxidaci\u00f3n posterior conduce a la formacion de complejos trinucleares de iridio con enlaces metal-metal. Las unidades tetranucleares son bloques de construcci\u00f3n, que permiten un aumento controlado de la nuclearidad generando complejos homopentanucleares y heterohexanucleares, tales como ((ph3p)2au2rh4(mi-pys2)2(cod)4), y polimeros de coordinaci\u00f3n neutros e ionicos del tipo (lmrh4(mi-pys2)2(cod2)4)n+(n=0,l=cl, m=cu, au;n=1,l=diolefina, m=rh;l=0,m=cu, au), que son ligeramente conductores en estado s\u00f3lido. Estudios sobre el polimero de rodio y cobre indican el reconocimiento de unidades homoquirales de diferente nuclearidad en la formaci\u00f3n de las cadenas polim\u00e9ricas.  se describe el potencial de la especie cp2ti(sh)2 como generador de complejos early-late por deprotonaci\u00f3n con diferentes complejos de rodio e iridio (m). De estas reacciones resultan nuevos dobles cubanos y cubanos incompletos de los tipos (cp2ti2(mi-s)4(mi-o)(m(l)2)4), (cpti(mi-s)3(m(diolefina))3) y complejos trinucleares (cp (acac)ti(mi-s)2(m (diolefina))2) y (m3(mi-s)2(co)6)(cp2 ti (acac)). Las reacciones de desplazamiento de las diolefinas por mon\u00f3xido de carbono y fosfinas generan diferentes complejos tri y tetranucleares heteromet\u00e1licos, algunos de los cuales sonprecursores de catalizador en hidroformilaci\u00f3n de olefinas. Las reacciones de los clusters cpti (mi-s)3ir3(co)4(pr3)3 con diferentes alquinos producen aductos de una y dos moleculas de alquino coordinados a un atomo de iridio, puente entre dos atomos de
