El gen de la timosina beta 10, por el contrario, s\u00f3lo se expresa en la capa del manto del sistema nervioso central y perif\u00e9rico, y no hemos encontrado cantidades apreciables de tr\u00e1nscrito de este gen ni en las c\u00e9lulas migratorias ni en las paredes de los vasos sangu\u00edneos.  de estos resultados concluimos que la timosina beta 4 est\u00e1 probablemente relacionada con la formaci\u00f3n de extensiones citoplasm\u00e1ticas, mientras que la timosina beta 10 lo est\u00e1 con alg\u00fan proceso dependiente del citoesqueleto de actina, relacionado con el proceso de diferenciaci\u00f3n.  tambi\u00e9n hemos descrito la expresi\u00f3n de los genes de la timosina beta 4 y beta 10 en el sistema nervioso central de rata, descubriendo que ambos se expresan principalmente en las neuronas del hipocampo, c\u00f3rtex entorrinal y regi\u00f3n amigdalina, aunque hemos encontrado diferencias significativas en su expresi\u00f3n en el caso del c\u00f3rtex y el cerebelo.  nuestros resultados sugieren, adem\u00e1s, que ambos p\u00e9ptidos podr\u00edan estar implicados en fen\u00f3menos de plasticidad sin\u00e1ptica y en procesos relacionados con la
