Exist\u00edan algunos factores que a nivel de la modulaci\u00f3n de la secreci\u00f3n in vivo de ghs se carec\u00eda de conocimientos suficientes.  a este respecto se encuentra la inhibina, una hormona gonadal de la que se sabe su participaci\u00f3n en la regulaci\u00f3n de gonadotropinas. Uno de los objetivos de este trabajo ha sido el investigar los posibles efectos de la inhibina sobre la secreci\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea de gh as\u00ed como su mecanismo de acci\u00f3n. Para ello se utilizaron ratas no anestesiadas, intactas y gonadectomizadas para el estudio de la secreci\u00f3n puls\u00e1til de gh. Asimismo se llevaron a cabo una serie de experimentos paralelos de hibridaci\u00f3n in situ.  por otra parte, el descubrimiento de la leptina, una hormona que regula el peso corporal, ha supuesto un hecho trascendental en el campo de la fisiolog\u00eda. El segundo objetivo de este trabajo ha sido estudiar el papel de la leptina sobre la secreci\u00f3n de gh, planteando una serie de experimentos in vivo e in vitro donde se ha estudiado la interacci\u00f3n a nivel hipotal\u00e1mico con el npy; ghrh y ss.  hemos extra\u00eddo como conclusiones que la inhibina suprime la secreci\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea de gh regulado a nivel hipotal\u00e1mico el contenido de ghrh y ss. Por otra parte, la leptina estimula la secreci\u00f3n de gh actuando a nivel del hipot\u00e1lamo sobre las neuronas productoras de npy, ghrh y ss.
