Con ambas t\u00e9cnicas se determin\u00f3 la p\u00e9rdida de materia org\u00e1nica sufrida por ocho suelos gallegos, cambisoles h\u00famicos sobre granito, con vegetaci\u00f3n de pinar, como consecuencia de los incendios forestales.  se observ\u00f3 que los termogramas presentan tres picos, el primero, endot\u00e9rmico, entre 50 grados c. Y 150 grados c., debido a la deshidrataci\u00f3n del suelo y a la p\u00e9rdida de las sustancias m\u00e1s vol\u00e1tiles, el segundo, exot\u00e9rmico, entre 200 grados c. Y 575 grados c. Que se debe a la combusti\u00f3n de la materia org\u00e1nica del suelo y el tercero, endot\u00e9rmico a 575 grados c., Y muy peque\u00f1o que se debe cambios estructurales en el cuarzo, presente en la fracci\u00f3n arena del suelo.  se determin\u00f3 por primera vez, la termperatura de ignici\u00f3n de los distintos suelos, usando la calorimetr\u00eda diferencial de barrido. Se observ\u00f3 que en los suelos no quemados la temperatura de ignici\u00f3n toma valores alrededor de 230 grados c., Y en los suelos quemados entre 231 grados c. Y 323 grados c.  se determin\u00f3, por primera vez, las entalp\u00edas de combusti\u00f3n de la materia org\u00e1nica de los suelos quemados y no quemados utilizando el calor\u00edmetro diferencial de barrido.  se determin\u00f3, por primera vez, la temperatura m\u00e1xima alcanzada por los suelos durante el quemado, que es un indicativo de la intensidad del incendio. Para ello se dise\u00f1\u00f3 un m\u00e9todo basado en la variaci\u00f3n de distintas propiedades f\u00edsicas durante el quemado en el laboratorio.  se obtuvo que las temperaturas m\u00e1ximas variaron entre 176 grados c. Y 418 grados c., Encontr\u00e1ndose que los menores valores corresponden a los suelos que sufrieron una menor p\u00e9rdida de materia org\u00e1nica durante el incendio y los mayores valores a los que
