En diversos modelos experimentales se ha constatado su relaci\u00f3n con la proliferaci\u00f3n celular y de ellos se puede deducir que pta es necesaria, aunque no suficiente para la proliferaci\u00f3n celular.  en el presente trabajo se plante\u00f3 como objetivo la realizaci\u00f3n de un estudio funcional de pta. Para ello, se ha puesto a punto la caracterizaci\u00f3n inmunol\u00f3gica de pta en extractos celulares mediante western blot. Para la inmunodetecci\u00f3n de pta es necesaria la utilizaci\u00f3n de membranas cargadas positivamente, como la deae-celulosa, ya que las restantes membranas probadas no retienen la prote\u00edna. Se emplearon dos anticuerpos diferentes, que reconocen distintas regiones de la mol\u00e9cula. Aunque con distintas eficacias, ambos anticuerpos son capaces de detectar en western blot la pta nativa intracelular de modo espec\u00edfico, as] como de inmunoprecipitarla. Se han cuantificado los niveles de pta en extractos celulares, encontrando que estos niveles son mayores en c\u00e9lulas proliferantes que en c\u00e9lulas no proliferantes.  en paralelo, se caracterizaron prote\u00ednas asociadas a pta en extractos celulares. Los resultados obtenidos en experimentos de afinidad utilizando la prote\u00edna de fusi\u00f3n gst-pta no son fisiol\u00f3gicamente concluyentes. Por contra, el estudio y caracterizaci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas celulares asociadas a pta demuestran que pta se asocia in vitro, de modo directo, a la histona h1, tanto en far western blot como en soluci\u00f3n. El anticuerpo anti-pta coinmunoprecipita cuatro prote\u00ednas con pesos moleculares estimados de 95, 70, 30 y 26 kda.
