Resultando esencialmente un estudio comparativo entre el discurso literario y el filmico. El trabajo consta de seis partes claramente diferenciadas; entre las que se distribuyen los once capitulos de que consta la tesis. Cada parte se dedica al estudio comparativo de una determinada obra y su correspondiente representaci\u00f3n filmica. Se ha seguido el mismo m\u00e9todo de an\u00e1lisis para el estudio interdisciplinar de los textos literarios y los textos f\u00edlmicos, quedando la siguiente extructura:  primera parte: introducci\u00f3n a la historia de las relaciones entre el cine y la literatura.  segunda parte: finnegans wake y passages from finnegans wake; la creaci\u00f3n del \u00ab\u00bbseeing sound\u00bb\u00bb.  tercera parte: ulysses, joyce and the enemy of censors.  cuarta parte: portrait of the artist as a yuong man, attempting to capture the stream of consciousness\u00bb\u00bb.  quinta
