Uno de los objetivos de esta investigaci\u00f3n es destacar la importancia del razonamiento inductivo en los procesos de ense\u00f1anza aprendizaje de la matem\u00e1tica en educaci\u00f3n primaria. Para ello se realiza un an\u00e1lisis did\u00e1ctico de la inducci\u00f3n consistente en un estudio epistemol\u00f3gico con una revisi\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica del concepto en diferentes campos del saber, entre ellos la propia matem\u00e1tica, y un estudio curricular hist\u00f3rico sobre la base de un an\u00e1lisis de libros de textos editados en espa\u00f1a en el presente siglo. Asimismo, se realiza un estudio de la fundamentaci\u00f3n inductiva de la aritm\u00e9tica del n\u00famero natural tanto a nivel epistemol\u00f3gico y matem\u00e1tico, como psicol\u00f3gico.  entendiendo por razonamiento inductivo num\u00e9rico, razonamiento en el que intervienen procesos mentales, l\u00f3gicos o aritm\u00e9ticos, impl\u00edcitos en la realizaci\u00f3n de inferencias o generalizaciones inductivas en series num\u00e9ricas as\u00ed como los conceptos y propiedades del n\u00famero que se utilizan en dichos procesos, se lleva a cabo un estudio emp\u00edrico para explicar y describir desde un punto de vista del desarrollo cognitivo, la evoluci\u00f3n del razonamiento inductivo num\u00e9rico en los escolares de educaci\u00f3n primaria. Se construye un modelo te\u00f3rico evolutivo que se contrasta emp\u00edricamente mediante un estudio de car\u00e1cter descriptivo, a partir de una muestra amplia, y un estudio emp\u00edrico
