En la primera parte se han estudiado las habilidades matem\u00e1ticas b\u00e1sicas, su desarrollo, las implicaciones educativas acordes con los niveles de desarrollo, las concepciones actuales sobre evaluaci\u00f3n y las diversas t\u00e9cnicas utilizadas en evaluaci\u00f3n, profundizando en las referidas al criterio y en los modelos basados en la \u00abteor\u00eda de respuesta al item\u00bb.  el amplio respaldo encontrado en la revisi\u00f3n de la literatura sobre el keymath diagnostic arithmetic test, llev\u00f3 a formular el objetivo general de la parte emp\u00edrica de la investigaci\u00f3n en el estudio de las caracter\u00edsticas psicom\u00e9tricas de dicho test y en su adaptaci\u00f3n al contexto escolar granadino. Los resultados de dicho estudio se materializan en una prueba llamada km, cuyos items ajustan al modelo, evaluan con precisi\u00f3n y son v\u00e1lidos para alumnos de los ciclos primero y segundo de primaria.
