Victoria <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En este trabajo se realiza por primera vez la caracterizaci\u00f3n farmacol\u00f3gica y anat\u00f3mica de los receptores beta- adren\u00e9rgicos en el sistema nervioso central de cinco especies evolutivamente diferentes de aves (gallus gallus, anas plathyrhynchos, columba livia, psittacula krameri y carduelis carduelis). Para ello, se han utilizado t\u00e9cnicas de fijaci\u00f3n del radioligando (3h)cgp 12177 a membranas y autorradiograf\u00eda, habi\u00e9ndose determinado los par\u00e1metros de saturaci\u00f3n kd y bmax as\u00ed como los perfiles farmacol\u00f3gicos y la distribuci\u00f3n anat\u00f3mica de los subtipo beta 1 y beta 2 en un gran n\u00famero de estructuras cerebrales relacionadas con la mayor\u00eda de los sistemas funcionales. Los estudios realizados han puesto de manifiesto que la farmacolog\u00eda de los receptores beta-adren\u00e9rgicos de las aves es similar a la de mam\u00edferos siendo el subtipo beta2, a diferencia de lo que ocurre en mam\u00edferos, el predominante en el enc\u00e9falo de las aves. La distribuci\u00f3n del subtipo beta1, aunque escasa, es variable entre las especies existiendo una mayor distribuci\u00f3n telencef\u00e1lica en las especies m\u00e1s evolucionadas.
