Mar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La elevada actividad termog\u00e9nica del tejido adiposo pardo se debe a la actividad de la prote\u00edna desacoplante (ucp) que se localiza en la membrana interna mitocondrial. La ucp desacopla la respiraci\u00f3n de la s\u00edntesis de atp, ya que permite la re-entrada de los protones a la matriz mitocondrial.  la actividad de la ucp se encuentra regulada por nucle\u00f3tidos de purina (inhibidores) y \u00e1cidos grasos (activadores). Existe un conocimiento muy limitado acerca de la organizaci\u00f3n estructural de la ucp y de los dominios implicados en el transporte, as\u00ed como en su regulaci\u00f3n por los \u00e1cidos grasos y los nucle\u00f3tidos. Por esta raz\u00f3n, el objetivo primordial de esta tesis ha sido el estudio de dominios que participan en el control del transporte en la prote\u00edna. Los resultados recogidos en esta memoria de tesis muestran la identificaci\u00f3n de dos dominios en la ucp importantes para la regulaci\u00f3n del transporte en la prote\u00edna. Por un lado, se ha demostrado que el extremo c-terminal participa en la modulaci\u00f3n de la acci\u00f3n de los \u00e1cidos grasos y a partir del estudio de un mutante que es el doble de sensible a los \u00e1cidos grasos que la ucp salvaje, se han obtenido detalles sobre la funci\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna en ausencia de \u00e1cidos grasos.  por otro lado, la regi\u00f3n comprendida entre la 5 y 6 alfa h\u00e9lice transmembranal ha resultado ser clave para el control de la actividad de la prote\u00edna, no s\u00f3lo desde el punto de vista de sus ligandos reguladores, sino incluso para determinar las especies que va a transportar.  finalmente, se demuestra que tambi\u00e9n los dominios que conectan las h\u00e9lices transmembranales 1 y 2 y 3 y 4, participar\u00edan junto a la regi\u00f3n entre las h\u00e9lices 5 y 6, en el control del transporte en la ucp.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Caracterizacion de dominios implicados en el control del transporte en la proteina desacoplante de las mitocondrias del tejido adiposo pardo.<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Caracterizacion de dominios implicados en el control del transporte en la proteina desacoplante de las mitocondrias del tejido adiposo pardo. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0  Gonzalez Barroso M.
