Pilar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se han analizado algunos par\u00e1metros morfom\u00e9tricos y cualitativos del nervio \u00f3ptico del perro, compar\u00e1ndolos con los obtenidos en el estudio de la retina. El estudio del nervio se ha llevado a cabo mediante su dise\u00f1o estereol\u00f3gico. La retina se ha analizado combinando el \u00abwhole-mount\u00bb y la tinci\u00f3n de nissl.  el \u00e1rea media transversa del nervio \u00f3ptico del perro fue 3,21 +- 0,34 mm de la cual el 41,71% corresponde a fibras mielinizadas (20,19% a axones y 21,52% a vainas de mielina y menos de 1% a fibras no mielinizadas. El n\u00famero total de fibras estimadas ha sido de 188,281 aprox. Las \u00e1reas transversas medias no ponderadas de los axones y de las vainas de mielina fue de 3,50 +- 0.67 y 3,75 +- 0,67 respectivamente.
