Se recurre a una gu\u00eda pl\u00e1stica para fijar las ligaduras y evitar de ese modo el deslizamiento y agrupamiento de las mismas, manteniendo as\u00ed un segmento de vena porta estenosada de 5 mm. En este modelo se estudia la evoluci\u00f3n de diferentes par\u00e1metros ponderales del animal, como el peso corporal total, el peso hep\u00e1tico y el peso espl\u00e9nico, junto con el desarrollo de circulaci\u00f3n colateral y las anomal\u00edas histol\u00f3gicas demostrables, junto con la determinaci\u00f3n de una serie de valores anal\u00edticos (t3, t4, corticosterona, prolactina, insulina, tnf, camp y \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico), todo ello tanto en animales control como en animales operados y sacrificados a las 24 horas, 15 d\u00edas y 45 d\u00edas de evoluci\u00f3n postoperatoria. Se establece la hip\u00f3tesis de que el modelo as\u00ed obtenido de hipertensi\u00f3n portal puede estudiarse como un modelo inflamatorio retroperitoneal.  en las conclusiones se acepta que la t\u00e9cnica quir\u00fargica descrita es m\u00e1s eficaz que la ligadura-estenosis simple para obtener un modelo de hipertensi\u00f3n portal prehep\u00e1tica en la rata a m\u00e1s largo plazo, posiblemente por una mayor dificultad para el desarrollo de circulaci\u00f3n colateral porto-portal, con desarrollo de colaterales portosist\u00e9micas esplenorrenales y paraesof\u00e1gicas, que persisten al menos hasta los 45 d\u00edas de evoluci\u00f3n postoperatoria, junto con esplenomegalia y disminuci\u00f3n del peso hep\u00e1tico. Los resultados anal\u00edticos son compatibles con la interpretaci\u00f3n de que el modelo estudiado es un modelo inflamatorio espl\u00e1cnico con repercusi\u00f3n
