Tanto el andalusol como la fracci\u00f3n de esteroles redujeron el edema y la infiltraci\u00f3n de leucocitos que tienen lugar durante el desarrollo de la respuesta inflamatoria.  respecto al mecanismo de acci\u00f3n de estos compuestos, cabe destacar que el andalusol act\u00faa mediante inhibici\u00f3n de la liberaci\u00f3n de enzimas lisosomales en leucocitos, y de histamina en mastocitos. As\u00ed mismo, reduce potentemente la generaci\u00f3n de no en macr\u00f3fagos inhibiendo tambi\u00e9n la proliferaci\u00f3n de linfocitos y la actividad del sistema del complemento activado por la v\u00eda cl\u00e1sica. Por otra parte, la fracci\u00f3n de esteroles act\u00faa mediante inhibici\u00f3n de la liberaci\u00f3n de enzimas lisosomales y radicales libres eb leucocitos, as\u00ed como de la actividad del
