Con la utilizaci\u00f3n de \u00f3xidos met\u00e1licos como sorbentes de h2s a alta temperatura se puede reducir este contaminante a niveles cercanos al ppmv. Se han preparado ferritas de zinc por cuatro m\u00e9todos diferentes y se ha estudiado su comportamiento experimental (en termobalanza y reactor de lecho fijo) y te\u00f3rico. Las muestras preparadas por simple mezcla mec\u00e1nica y calcinaci\u00f3n a 650 grados c han mostrado el mejor comportamiento. Posteriormente se han dopado con cu y ti con objeto de mejorar sus propiedades, y se han estudiado en forma de extruidos en ensayos multiciclo.  los resultados indican que existen problemas difusionales que provocan la ruptura prematura del lecho. Para reducir dichos problemas difusionales se ha a\u00f1adido un formador de poros a alta temperatura, como es el grafito, observando una mejor\u00eda del comportamiento al menos en los dos primeros
