La caracterizaci\u00f3n se ha llevado a cabo mediante difracci\u00f3n de rayos x y neutrones. Los datos obtenidos indican que se trata de \u00f3xidos que cristalizan con simetr\u00eda ortorr\u00f3mbica, grupo espacial bmab. El tama\u00f1o del ion lant\u00e1nido parece ser cr\u00edtico en la estabilizaci\u00f3n de la estructura. Las medidas de susceptibilidad magn\u00e9tica muestran la existencia de correlaciones bidimensionales (2d) a temperaturas pr\u00f3ximas a la temperatura ambiente. Se observa la existencia de interacciones antiferromagn\u00e9ticas tridimensionales. Se ha llevado a cabo la determinaci\u00f3n de las estructuras magn\u00e9ticas de los \u00f3xidos prcacro4 y ndcacro4. Ambas presentan los momentos magn\u00e9ticos de los \u00e1tomos de cromo ordenados antiferromagn\u00e9ticamente seg\u00fan la direcci\u00f3n x o y.
