Belen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los lentivirus son un grupo de virus, subfamilia de los retrovirus. Incluyen virus de gran importancia tanto veterinaria, como el virus de la anemia infecciosa equina (eiav) o el virus de la inmunodeficiencia felina (fiv), como cl\u00ednica como el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana (hiv). Nuestro sistema de estudio es la prote\u00edna mayoritaria de la c\u00e1psida de lentivirus. Las prote\u00ednas de las c\u00e1psidas lentivirales tienen una gran homolog\u00eda de secuencia. Este alto grado de similitud, junto con la existencia de reacciones cruzadas y la funci\u00f3n conservada, sugieren que las estructuras tridimensionales de estas prote\u00ednas est\u00e1n muy relacionadas.  en esta memoria se describen los estudios estructurales de dos de estas prote\u00ednas: la prote\u00edna p26 de eiav y la prote\u00edna p24 de fiv. Con la primera de ellas se lleva a cabo una caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural de la prote\u00edna y un estudio del papel que desempe\u00f1an los puentes disulfuro en el mantenimiento de la estructura.  en el caso de la prote\u00edna p24 se estudia el mecanismo de plegamiento de la prote\u00edna mediante la obtenci\u00f3n de formas mutantes en las que se cambian los residuos de tript\u00f3fano por fenilalanina.
