La variabilidad gen\u00e9tica del vih-1 es una de sus propiedades m\u00e1s caracter\u00edsticas. Esto produce la existencia de genomas con mutaciones distintas en cualquier poblaci\u00f3n viral. Estas mutaciones se acumulan cuando las poblaciones viales se someten a pases seriados de poblaciones obtenidas de placas de cultivo en ausencia de selecci\u00f3n.  despues de poner a punto un m\u00e9todo r\u00e1pido de cuantificaci\u00f3n de distintas poblaciones virales en competici\u00f3n, el vih-1 ha mostrado una capacidad muy limitada de adquirir nuevas mutaciones, en comparaci\u00f3n con otros sistemas virales de rna. Estos datos implicar\u00edan que en ciertas condiciones experimentales el vih-1 estar\u00eda cerca de la catastrofe de error replicativo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
