c\u00e1lculo recogidos por las normas internacionales iso y agma de c\u00e1lculo de resistencia de engranajes a picadura, incorporan m\u00e9todos de c\u00e1lculo incoherentes con los modelos f\u00edsicos en los que se basan.  se ha propuesto uno nuevo basado en la determinaci\u00f3n de la m\u00e1xima tensi\u00f3n de cortadura en la subsuperficie del diente que produce una distribuci\u00f3n de presiones en la zona de contacto, eventualmente distorsionada por efecto de la lubricaci\u00f3n o de la rugosidad, producida a su vez por una distribuci\u00f3n de la carga a lo largo de la l\u00ednea de contacto no uniforme, y todo ello estudiado en todos los puntos de contacto, a lo largo de la l\u00ednea de engrane, a fin de localizar el punto aut\u00e9nticamente cr\u00edtico.  el nuevo modelo de fallo se ha formulado en funci\u00f3n de la presi\u00f3n m\u00e1xima de hertz a\u00f1adiendo tres factores: factor de intensidad de carga, factor de distorsi\u00f3n
