Se produce entre otras causas por isquemia renal y en la patogenia tienen un papel importante el \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico y los radicales libres. La utilizaci\u00f3n de donantes de grupos -sh, como eliminadores de radicales libres podr\u00edan mejorar estos procesos. Nosotros hemos encontrado, que la n-acetilciste\u00edna, un donante de grupos tioles, mejora el fallo renal agudo que sigue a la oclusi\u00f3n de la vena cava tanto en ratas como en perros a trav\u00e9s de la potenciaci\u00f3n del \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico. En cambio, no encontramos un efecto beneficioso de esta sustancia en un modelo de insuficiencia renal aguda por oclusi\u00f3n de la arteria renal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
