Para las observaciones con microscop\u00eda de luz, se han utilizado muestras de moco procedentes de la luz del canal cervical, como de criptas espec\u00edficas, productoras de una determinada unidad o tipo de moco. Las muestras fueron extendidas en portas o en cubres y desecadas al aire, produci\u00e9ndose en ellas el fen\u00f3meno del \u00abferning\u00bb o cristalizaci\u00f3n del moco. Para microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica, tambi\u00e9n se utilizaron los dos tipos de muestras indicadas anteriormente, pero, adem\u00e1s de las desecadas al aire, fueron observadas otras que previamente hab\u00edan sido fijadas con glutaraldeh\u00eddo al 2,5 %. Las observaciones con microsc\u00f3pio de luz permiten diferenciar, en las preparaciones de moco procedentes del interior del canal cervical, las unidades de moco cervical g, p, s y l, como tambi\u00e9n los subtipos si, s2, s3 y pa, p6b y pt. Adem\u00e1s, mediante un sencillo m\u00e9todo semicuantitativo para calcular el porcentaje en la extensi\u00f3n y otros datos fisiol\u00f3gicos, se determin\u00f3, aproximadamente, a qu\u00e9 d\u00eda del ciclo pertenec\u00edan las muestras. Las extensiones procedentes de criptas, de tipos de moco espec\u00edficos, mostraron una imagen cristalogr\u00e1fica semejante a los diversos tipos observados en las extensiones de moco procedentes del interior del canal cervical. Las observaciones con meb de las preparaciones desecadas al aire fueron, como era de esperar, m\u00e1s ricas en detalles que las de ml, confirmando los resultados obtenidos con esta t\u00e9cnica. Con respecto a las preparaciones fijadas antes de su observaci\u00f3n, la meb permiti\u00f3 diferenciar una morfolog\u00eda distinta de la malla glucoproteica para cada muestra procedente de los
