Producen sustancias antimicrobianas como h2 o2 y \u00e1cido l\u00e1ctico, siendo \u00e9ste \u00faltimo el inhibidor \u00abin vitro\u00bb del crecimiento de pat\u00f3genos oportunistas como e.Coli y s.Agalactiae.  un estudio similar se realiz\u00f3 con una cepa de l.Delbrueckii ssp. Lactis aislada de heces de ni\u00f1os, resistente al \u00e1cido y las sales biliares y que se adhiere a c\u00e9lulas intestinales. Produce inhibidores como h2 o2, \u00e1cido l\u00e1ctico y una bacteriocina e impide el crecimiento \u00abin vitro\u00bb de s.Choleraesuis serotipo enteritidis, y.Enterocolitica, e.Coli
