Este es el primer ejemplo de una topoisomerasa ii codificada por un virus encariotico.  los datos obtenidos por antorradiografia e hicridacion \u00abin situ\u00bb en macrofogos infectados con el virus, sugieren un mecanismo para la replicacion del dna viral con un estadio inicial en el nucleo seguido de una fase citoplasmatica. La existencia de un estadio intranuclear se ha confirmado por microscopia electronica.  experimentos de hibridacion en celulas vero infectadas con el virus de la peste porcina africana, seguidos por
