Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se han estudiado los cambios ultraestructurales en las neuronas y en el neuropilo y las variaciones morfom\u00e9tricas de distintas organelas citoplasm\u00e1ticas en la poblaci\u00f3n neuronal del n\u00facleo vestibular lateral del h\u00e1mster sirio durante el envejecimiento. Las neuronas fueron separadas en tres grupos seg\u00fan su morfolog\u00eda y tama\u00f1o (peque\u00f1as, medianas y grandes-gigantes) y analizadas en seis grupos de edad entre los tres y treinta meses. Los par\u00e1metros nucleares (\u00e1rea nuclear y nucleolar) no mostraron una relaci\u00f3n significativa con el envejecimiento. El \u00fanico par\u00e1metro que aument\u00f3 significativamente con la edad, en todos los tipos neuronales, fue la densidad de volumen de lipofuscina. La fracci\u00f3n de volumen de las dem\u00e1s organelas citoplasm\u00e1ticas, no present\u00f3 cambios significativos con la edad en las neuronas peque\u00f1as, mientras que disminuy\u00f3 en las medianas y grandes-gigantes con el envejecimiento.  la densidad sin\u00e1ptica se mantuvo sin cambios en las neuronas de mayor tama\u00f1o y disminuy\u00f3 en las peque\u00f1as y medianas.
