Dado su elevado punto de fusi\u00f3n, una de las t\u00e9cnicas de deposici\u00f3n m\u00e1s adecuadas, es la proyecci\u00f3n por plasma (plasma spraying), aunque las capas obtenidas suelen presentar una porosidad elevada y d\u00e9bil adherencia con el sustrato.  en la presente tesis, se investiga la posibilidad de reducir la porosidad de recubrimientos de carburo de volframio y cromo, depositados sobre una base met\u00e1lica, procediendo a su fusi\u00f3n con un l\u00e1ser de co2. Se ha encontrado que, con unos valores adecuados de potencia y velocidad de barrido, se obtienen capas libres de poros y con buena adherencia en la uni\u00f3n con el sustrato.  con el fin de comprobar las modificaciones que el tratamiento pudiera producir en las propiedades del material se realizaron, sobre recubrimientos tratados y sin tratar, medidas de la dureza y rugosidad superficial, an\u00e1lisis microgr\u00e1ficos y ensayos de desgaste en condiciones de contacto seco y lubricado. Los resultados demuestran que la fusi\u00f3n con l\u00e1ser, aumenta la dureza y mejora considerablemente la resistencia al desgaste de las capas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
