De ah\u00ed que en los niveles elementales de lengua, los malentendidos de los alumnos son resultado del desconocimiento tanto de hechos linguisticos como culturales. Los modismos adem\u00e1s de ser un punto de partida de posibles clases, traducen la cultura de un pueblo, pues su origen normalmente es popular y ancestral. Para un estudiante extranjero es fascinante poder, adem\u00e1s de entenderlos, usarlos en la conversaci\u00f3n cotidiana, ya que supera trabas en el desarrollo comunicativo. En este trabajo se presentan algunas consideraciones previas sobre la traducci\u00f3n y ciertos comentarios sobre los estudios de lingu\u00edstica contrastiva aplicada a la traducci\u00f3n.
