No existen vacunas efectivas contra este virus actualmente y los intentos que se han realizado hasta la fecha en este sentido han resultado un fracaso. Las aglicoproteina de membrana e y g son las principales antigenes viales del virus. Este estudio tiene como objetivo estudiar el modo y los factores que determinan la evolucion del virus en la naturaleza y nos centramos en el analisis de la proteina g porque es el componente estructural del virus que presenta la mayor variabilidad genetica y antigenico. Los estudios geneticos y antigenicos de los aislados naturales del subgrupo a de vrs aislado en montevideo durante seis epidemias sucesivas (1987-1992). La composicion con los datos de semanario de virus mutantes resistentes a acm y su comparacion con aislados de otros focosgeograficos sugieren que la presion inmunualergica y la capacidad de
