Se caracterizan sus estructuras productivas y laboral a trav\u00e9s de su evoluci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica. A continuaci\u00f3n se centra la crisis agraria y social existente en chile hacia 1955-1960 y las incidencias del paradigma latifundio-minifundio como causas directas de la crisis agraria. Como antecedente muy importante se estudia la reforma agraria realizada bajo la presidencia de eduardo frei.  la parte central de la tesis se localiza en la reforma agraria desarrollada por el gobierno de la unidad popular. Se analizan detenidamente las causas, las caracter\u00edsticas e instrumentos utilizados as\u00ed como se define y precisan los agentes sociales protagonistas de la reforma sus estrategias y pr\u00e1cticas as\u00ed como los principales efectos geogr\u00e1ficos que la reforma tendr\u00eda para el mundo rural chileno.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
