Los niveles de fosfotirosina est\u00e1n controlados por dos tipos de enzimas, proteinatirosina quinasas (ptk) y proteinatirosina fosfatasas. Estas \u00faltimas son el objeto de nuestro estudio. Las ptps parecen tener una funci\u00f3n muy importante en la fisiolog\u00eda de las plaquetas, por lo que hemos caracterizado la actividad ptp en plaquetas ovinas. Adem\u00e1s, mediante t\u00e9cnicas de partici\u00f3n de fases con triton x-114, centrifugaci\u00f3n en gradientes y t\u00e9cnicas inmunoqu\u00edmicas, hemos identificado la presencia de tres ptps descritas en plaquetas. Nuestros resultados indican, que en plaquetas, adem\u00e1s de las cuatro ptps descritas hasta el momento, debe haber otras diferentes, cuya identidad desconocemos por el momento.  adem\u00e1s hemos estudiado como afecta el fen\u00f3meno de peroxidaci\u00f3n lip\u00eddica a la actividad ptp, comprobando que dicho fen\u00f3meno inhibe fuertemente la actividad ptp. Las causas de dicha inhibici\u00f3n son complejas, pero podr\u00eda estar ligada a una modificaci\u00f3n de amino\u00e1cidos indispensables para la cat\u00e1lisis. Adem\u00e1s, estudios previos realizados en nuestro laboratorio pusieron de manifiesto que durante el almacenamiento de las plaquetas en plasma o en un medio sint\u00e9tico (seto) se produc\u00edan
