Dicho estudio, en su apartado cl\u00ednico, se lleva a cabo en 75 muestras obtenidas de 75 pacientes con dicha patolog\u00eda arterial, comprendiendo todos los casos adventicia, capa media y placa ateromatosa. En el apartado experimental se dise\u00f1a un modelo original que permite mantener sin extravasarse las distintas soluciones empleadas de glicerol y acilgliceroles en territorios vecinos al paquete vasculonervioso femoral. Para realizar tales experiencias se emplea a la rata albina sprague-dawley.  destaca entre los hallazgos realizados la r\u00e1pida destrucci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas musculares lisas de la capa media arterial con preservaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas de la cubierta endotelial. Transcurridas pocas horas de la administraci\u00f3n de las sustancias se distingue activaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas endoteliales con emisi\u00f3n de proyecciones que se dirigen hacia la capa media acelular, lleg\u00e1ndose a constituir verdaderos vasos sangu\u00edneos de luces pr\u00e1cticamente virtuales. Paulatinamente estos neovasos sufren procesos encuadrables dentro de la involuci\u00f3n vascular de forma simult\u00e1nea con el repoblamiento celular de la capa media por c\u00e9lulas con
